澳航將開拓A380最長的飛行航線，這架空中巨無霸將每星期六次（星期三至一共６班）往返澳洲悉尼和美國德州達拉斯-沃思堡。航程將長達15小時30分鐘。

Qantas launch longest A380 route, AA to fly DFW to Beijing
Today, Qantas launched the world’s longest A380 route between Sydney and Dallas/Fort Worth. The 8,755-mile journey takes 15 hours and 30 minutes to complete and will operate six times per week on every day except Tuesdays.
To help with the celebrations, Qantas Ambassador John Travolta greeted the inaugural service at the Texas hub saying he was ‘proud to help promote the new service’.
The popular actor said, ‘I’m thrilled to be part of this special and historic moment for Qantas. It’s exciting news for Americans that the world’s biggest and one of the most luxurious passenger aircrafts is now flying between Dallas/Fort Worth and Sydney.’
To mark the launch, the A380 aircraft has been painted with a special livery which features a Stetson hat and neckerchief on the Kangaroo which adorns the tail, while an emblem with both the Australian and American flag and a ‘G’day Texas’ can be found next to the forward doors.
The new service means a net seat increase of ten per cent per week for the Australian carrier, and is the only A380 service operated between the US and Australia. A Texas-style menu will be offered to passengers on board, available until the 5th of October.
With its American Airlines codeshare partnership, customers can benefit from onward connections to over 100 destinations in the US, with over 50 of these from Dallas/Fort Worth.
The flight schedule will see outbound service QF7 depart Sydney at 1310 and arrive in Dallas/Fort Worth on the same day at 1345 local time, with the flight duration of 14 hours and 50 minutes. Meanwhile, returning flight QF8 departs Dallas/Fort Worth at 2215 and lands back in Sydney two days later at the local time of 0605, with the flight duration of 15 hours and 30 minutes.
