Senior management change at Dragonair

(HONG KONG) Dragonair today announced that Algernon Yau will take over as Chief Executive Officer of the airline with effect from the summer of 2014.
Since July 2011, Mr Yau has been Chief Executive Officer of Cathay Pacific Services Ltd, the wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific Airways that operates the new Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal at Hong Kong International Airport. He is responsible for leading and overseeing the development and execution of the company’s long-term business strategy.
Prior to taking up his current position, Mr Yau was General Manager HKIA overseeing Cathay Pacific’s ground operations at the airport.
Mr Yau started his aviation career with Cathay Pacific in 1982, working in a number of airport-related positions, and then joined Dragonair in 1994. The other senior appointments he has held within the Cathay Pacific Group include General Manager, Ground Services & International Affairs for Dragonair.
The current CEO of Dragonair, Patrick Yeung, will become the Group’s General Manager Taiwan & Korea, overseeing the business and operations of both Cathay Pacific and Dragonair in these two locations.
